Thanks for dropping by to take a look at my POTD. Your stuff is solid as a rock. I like the dead dog look among all the rock. Good luck to you. Hope you find the end of the road all in one piece. ~ Randy

Mr. Ellis, I am sending you a package today of California State Parks brochures. This is just a heads-up so you will know to be watching out for them. Again, thanks for everything you do. It adds to the positive "balance" in this world, and who knows where else? Sincerely, Carol

Good morning, Mr. Ellis. We made it back safely from the Mendocino coast, and today I googled you because I thought I had mislaid your homemade business card and wanted to let you know how much I enjoyed your rock art. You are in a good place--in more ways than one I believe--there on Highway One, where sooner or later everyone passes by. Then, lucky me, I located your card, and will start collecting one of every one of the park brochures we have done over the last four years or so. Not that many, since we have had to go begging for funds in order to provide this service for our parks and visitors. It seems to us that people who visit our parks (about 85 million every year) ought to be able to get some sort of freebie, but not everyone in state government thinks the public should have anything for nothing. So many of our parks have nothing at all except for whatever they can produce on their computers (though many of our wonderful volunteers with computer talents have taken things a bit further by creating and printing brochures at their own expense). You can't "sell" a park if people who are not there can't see and read about it. We may be getting a bit of money this fiscal year to continue the program, and when you see the package I'm sending you will see why we feel so strongly about getting the word out. Thanks for such a peaceful, gratifying few minutes on the road this past Tuesday. I have been getting quite a response from those who have seen your pictures, and several asked for specific directions because they were so impressed by the photo images of your work. I think you are quite an artist. One of these days I will ask you to send me one of your balanced arrangements--something small and simple for my desk. It has occurred to me that I could used something earth-rooted to help me stay grounded in the middle of a hectic day. BTW--I wrote the text for a number of the brochures I will be sending. These will have a post-it note so you can see why I have no intention to retire anytime soon. Not a lot of folks around who love what they do enough to just keep doing it until... Later Carol Cullens
