Really enjoyed your pics. Interesting you have to fence your pool but not your pond. ;)How deep is your pond? Loved seeing the deer and duck and your little froggy buddy. Do you keep the netting on year 'round? I didn't think I saw it in the early photos. Do you have owls? We had to resort to an electric fence to ward off the coons. Got tired of trapping/relocating them. Now we have an owl. Oh, Bother! Best wishes, Barbara. http://community.webshots.com/user/whtros2 WhtRos2@aol.com

Hi Gene & Kareen, I love your pond. Mine is on a much smaller scale but our goldfish seem happy and they are breeding like yours. It rang such a bell too to see yours waiting for their food impatiently - mine are fussy too, only one sort of food will do. I notice you have a net over the pond in some pictures - do you just put this over at certain times of the year? How do you secure it? Do you get herons where you are? Where are you by the way? I am really envious of your water lilies, we have had a lot of blanket weed this year, every pond owner round here seems to have suffered and the stuff that clears it also kills the water lilies! Doh! My email address is patsysheaves@aol.com and I would be so interested to hear from you.

I'm so impressed. Your photos of all the hard work you have both done really are a spectacular view of nature at its best. With something this serene and beautiful, who needs to go further than your own back yard. Congratulations you've really done it,and keep up the good work.

Great looking pond! Love your rock work and waterfalls! I'm enlarging and adding a waterfall. Have no clue as to how to begin! Got any ideas or web sites tht would help a beginner? Thanks!
