Looks like you all had a wonderful trip. I lived in Juneau and Haines, Alaska for 4 years. Your pictures bring back great memories. Love the picture of Juneau. It has changed from when I lived there. All the Apartment buildings around Gold Creek was were our baseball field was. I can see were my house was. I see you are from SE Louisiana. I hope you all came out well in the hurricane. Ted, Thanks for sending me a link to your wonderful collection of photos. My wife and I also loved our Alaska trip. Our highlight was taking a helicopter ride to and then hiking for an hour on a glacier while at port in Juneau. Truely it was one of the most spectacular adventures we ever did. The whole cruise (Holland Amer.)and excursions in Alaska were simply terrific. Another magnificant trip we took, a few years back, was a 12 day tour of Ireland. As an excellent photographer that you seem to be Ted, I believe that you would have a field day there. It was the most beautiful place I have ever visited. Eventhough I shot many nice photos, the pictures don't do it justice. And what a glorious country to vacation in. This year (in May/June) my wife and I will be taking a tour of Italy for 14 days. When we return I will post my photos. My camera is an Olympus C700 with a 10X zoom and when used right it gets great shots (especially outdoors). I borrowed a Canon power shot 90/s from my brother-in-law and I am practicing with it to see if I should bring it along to Italy. Oh one more thing... I noticed excellent sunrise and sunset pictures in your coolections. I have a few excellent ones (in my webshots collection)from when we were at the Grand Canyon (wow what an incredible place for shooting pictures). Now there is another beautiful place to visit... the Grand Canyon. We spent a few days there and were left breathless at its beauty. Thanks again for allowing me to view all your wonderful pictures. I really enjoyed this album in particular, because my son went to Anchorage last month for a wedding... He took my camera so that I could travel vicariously through his pictures. Only problem...the day before he came home, someone accidentally reformatted the memory stick and erased all the pictures!!! Very nice album, specialy glacier pictures, and of coure culinary ones. Nice vacation indeed. Tnank you very much for your many, and very kind comments in my gues tbook. I started few years ago with little JD 800 of Yenoptic, and more than half of pictures are from that camera. Than I shifted to JVC GCX3E 3 megapixel. But reacently I bought Nikon Coolpix 4500 4 mp with 4x optical zoom. Very handy for macro shots. The newest two albums are made with Nikon. Thanks again! Regards Ludvik
