Le Cinqueterre comprendono 5 miglia di costa rocciosa, due promontori alle estremita', cinque paesini arroccati su speroni di pietra o disposti a grappolo in minuscole insenature. Dal 1997 sono Parco Nazionale e territorio tutelato dall’Unesco.

    • Ciao Elio, l'avevo gia' visto tempo fa quest'album, sono tornato a rivedermelo perche' dopo essere stato per un po' in campagna e in montagna avevo bisogno di respirare un po' di aria marina. Che album! E' veramente un capolavoro! Sei veramente bravo e i numeri delle visite ai tuoi album parlano da soli. Ti ringrazio per gli apprezzamenti che hai fatto alle mie foto, sono sempre molto graditi, specialmente se vengono da un fotografo del tuo calibro. Ciao e chissa' se prima o poi ci incontreremo in montagna o in una trattoria langarola (chiaramente con la fotocamera al collo).

    • Elio, your photos make my heart ache to return to Italia. I have never been to Cinqueterra but your photos are almost like being there. I am sad to have to know that I will never be able to return and visit the many places I had hoped to visit, to sit in a sidewalk cafe and enjoy the early evening sunset while perhaps sipping a glass of vino or even an after dinner Cappuchino with my beloved.     • Hi Elio, I do like this album, showing quite a lot in sixty or so pictures, but do like the first picture the best, maybe its the architecture, maybe just trying to reason why all these houses were built so close together, which one was the first house built?     • Nice photos. I don't understand why the homes on the coast of Italy aren't magnificant works of architecture seeing the location makes it prime for people of wealth to invest in extravagent homes. I was a little shocked to view the homes situated on the cliffs as I'm always used to seeing mansions of granduer in such locations. To see homes that look like cheap houses you see in poor neighborhoods was a real eye opener.

    • From Punta Mesco to Portovenere the high shore is so steep that the five small towns of Le Cinque Terre, located in very little valleys or on small headlands, seem to hold on tight, not to slide into the sea. And your photos render the unique landscape at best. In some photos we can see also the famous vineyards that give the fragrant wine Sciacchetra'.
