My wife and I are just starting our pond. Just removed some nasty unkempt Aloe plants from a 6 x 6 area. After looking at your pictures we will definately enlarge the area of construction. We liked the step-by-step process of your album and we made a few notes along the way. We forgot about drainage and overflow problems. We will take photos of ours along the way. Very nicely done.

Really my name is Karen and I have a pond up here in the Gulf Island right on the West Coast of Vancouver. It has been my 1st one and we've had it for 4 years now and I have learned tremendous stuff each year, but I am no where close to what you have. Both my husband & I are physically disabled but the only mobile interferance is with our walking, only to the extent of how fast we cango.so slowly but surely we are getting stuff done every season. I wonder if you could give me some advice on some of the more important things we should be doing that we probably haven't done yet. If you are interested in rather responding to me via email...ours is klowden@shaw.ca...I would really appreciate some of the obvious incrediable knowledge you have evident just by looking at your beautiful photographs. I really look forward to your response. Thanks so much anyway Jim for entering your photos to Webshots s o that I can have them as Wallpaper on my computer. Sincerely Karen

Loved your pond and the progressive pics. I've been thinking of one myself. Check out my Sand Bar Carribean Club pics. Love those rope lights. Randy

Hi Jim: Your home is amazing. I love your pictures and the ideas in making a spectacular pond setting. I am from Woodstock, Ontario and my son just finished re doing my back yard connecting a small pond with a river into a larger pond 12X14, 4 ft deep. When I get some pictures into my computer I will email them to you. It was by chance I found this site and boy if I lived closer I'd love to meet you. I am also divorced love gardening and building fish ponds. Do you raise any of your fish? My son is going to try this summer. He would love to get into it as a profession. If you like to reply my email is rosieqgirl@hotmail.com. Love to hear from you.

I am so glad I accidentally stumbled upon your photo album. I have always wanted a pond in the backyard. Unfortunately, we live in an apartment complex so.... for now, I think I will just live vicariously through you! Your pond is just lovely- you should be very proud. I think I shall come back to visit it often! Thanks for sharing and documenting so well. I feel like I could really could build our own someday!

Your pond turned out just beautiful and I'm really impressed at the six day schedule..........I've been building mine for two years now...my kids gave me a preformed pond in 2001 and put it in for me that summer, since then I've been digging the rocks out of the old rock garden that filled the bank along the road the entire width of our property (2- 2 1/2 acres), and reshaping the donated broken rectangle patio blocks...(broken and donated by friends that break them at Martial Arts Games and Tournaments). The end results of all your work show me that all my work will be worth it in the end -- the end hopefully being this spring!!!

I really enjoyed the pictures of your progress through building your water garden. I live in an apartment and can't build a pond of my own, so I have a 77gal. aquarium with 11 various different plants. I hope to one day build a pond as beatuiful as yours. Thank you for sharing you pictures. Mitch

Great pond!!!! I am very impressed. You did a wonderful job. I know the Dallas area somewhat. Had a friend who lived outside Dallas, used to fly over to see him occasionally. I live in NW Florida, so we are probably in the same zone (8b). Anyhow, what a great job you did. I also have my pond on webshots. Do a search for rylaff to find mine.

I live in San Antonio and it took me three months to dig my pond out by hand. The clay/soil here really fought back. I know how much work you put into your pond. It is beautiful.

I enjoyed your pond pics. I had a small pond last summer & now the fish are living in my basement until I get the bigger one finished in the spring! Next winter they shall live outside! Right now it is just a hole in the ground filled with snow!!! I just love sitting by a pond in the evening! This is a lovely pond. Thanks, Lori

Thanks for a wonderful lesson on pond construction. The 6 weeks of planning and 6 days of development seem to have yielded something that will be enjoyed for many years. I ran the slide show and paused regularly in order to view the photos and to read your comments. This is an excellent album.

My girlfriend and I are both single and we love your pond and your pool. It would be easy to imagine spending a few relaxing hours with a nice bottle of wine after coming home from a long day at work. This would be the perfect setting to finish the day off right. Add to that your company and the scene would be perfect....JAG and KAV

very nice pond ,,, i love the landscape design and water flowers ,,, great work covering up the bio water fall. i have only one comment, as i noticed with my large pond, how do you you have the time to clean all the little pebbles, i started out with pebbles then moved to stones and then hudge rocks (eaiser to clean) p.s go with a UV cleaner, i have one and it saves me alot of time !!!

Great looking pond. We also live in Dallas 75234 area! I had the kids take out 40+ years of shrubs & landscape material to re-landscape using a pond as the focal point. I have work to do and 6 days is not enough time for me~ My hats off to you and your son. What a beautiful view, enjoy as I know I have just looking at the pictures! Thanks for sharing.
