Dear Orly, this is a very beautiful album not just because it has splendid photographs but also because you have taken so much trouble to explain everything in detail. I know, from personal experience, that it takes a lot of effort to write informative and interesting captions in just few words. This is a virtual, historical tour that I will always remember. Israel, where the three religions meet incessantly, is a fascinating place. Who better to capture this spirit and explain it than my friend Orly! The Mt.Zion picture was most impressive, so were #16 Curch of St.Peter. #18, Al Aqsa mosque, illustrates the point I made earlier.I was equally fascinated by Zacharia's tomb and the church Dominus Flevit. You have many pictures of St.Mary Magdalene's church. It has beautiful symmetry and your pictures bring this out. The gilded domes of the Russian orthodox churches are always striking. Of all the pictures of the cemetery, I particularly liked #42 of the two figures. It has class. Excellent picture. Of course, the children's pictures are adorable. I know you have a ken for it and it shows. Orly, thank you so very much for the beautiful trip. I have learnt a lot and seen the sights through your eyes. I have enjoyed this album immensely. Take care. Best wishes, Suresh

Yes.... A M A Z I N G !! BUT I ask you..... “No school ? All the day walking around instead studying and reading boring books! School is not finished for you :-D !! “ Anyway I can pardon your bad attidude my lazy friend :-D .... in effect looking at your shots and at all the historic places that you have show us I'm full of wonder...! Mt Zion, David Tomb, the Cenacle, Al Aqsa mosque, Zion Gate, Mt. of Olives, the golden Gate, The Dome of The Rock, etc... only in the city of God we can find all this history and those human art symbols!!! :-O !! An INCREDIBLE place to take shots Orly and again, after your old albums about Jerusalem, a FANTASTIC portrait of it! Believe me .... really INCREDIBLE also for an italian man like me who live in a country full of history.... THANKS for this gift and for your,as usual, complete and interesting explications (I'm amazed for your details like in shot 52 for example). About photos... The inside shots 2, 3 and 56 are really GREAT (new tools or tecnique ???) Photos 9 and 34 are beautiful, but MAINLY they have provoked to me a shiver along my back. Really good are 15, 17 (a kite :-) !!), 28, 42 and 49 with the grandfather of all my loved olive trees. As you know 29 and 39 are true MATERPIECES. 64 is a wonderful portrait and also all the final sequence with the terrible gang is a beauty :-) (only a bit of sadness for 67.... politic is also over a child.....). To end .... waiting your return in ancient city of David.... again THANKS for this amazing reportage and a GRANDE ABBRACCIO from your friend Ruggero! ____________________ PS: I don’t believe I would want to be buried in Mt. Of Olives. Not a good idea in my case to be in first row during judgement days….. I think it will be better for me wait for much time :-D.

Hi Orly, I was in the same area last suterday! Indeed, very nice pictures. I still need to organize mine. BTW, if you are not familiar to, go to www.d-spot.co.il, you will find very nice Israeli pictures site that you can post pictures and get feedback from the community in close to real time. Yaki.

Dear Orly.. I must say that I am an admirrer of you and your most wonderful work and patience to give all the explanations you gave. First, your work is fantastic. To bring back from Jerusalem this master work, is fantastic. I know all the difficulty there, especialy because the strong light there in the summer. If you used any help by filters or other technical accessorys, how care if the resolt is so fantastic. The storys you told are most helpful to understand your tour and the history of our beloved capital that is so controversial . There is no photo that I can say I love more. I loved them all , and allso jelous that I did't do it befor, as my dream was to do such an albom. Ran

Dear Orly . ( you can eras this letter later) Photo 59: You said that the tsar Alexander the 3 build the church on 1988. Did you intent 1888 ? Kaiser Vilhelm the second, that build the dormizion, was the one how meet Teodor Hertsel in Koshta ( Istambul) and in the gate of Jerusalem walls. (They have a nice photo togther)Willhelm the seconed, was a strong man with weak character. he was an paranoid and inflated. He said:" my citizens shuld do what I will tell them to do" He was full of prejudice on the Jews in general , and said that "they are parasites in his kingdom...." He was afraid from his British uncles and admirer the antisemitic pastor Shteker , that was in his eye as a new Martin Loter...When he became a Kaiser, he was influence by a strange British , Stuart-Chembrlain, that preaches for an crusade against the Jews, Nigros,Japanis, and so called other insects.... Hertsel by meeting him, waste his time...Ran

My dear Orly! I have just spent the last hour totally enwrapped in this album. All of the pictures are just incredible. Breathtaking views, happy children, spectacular old buildings. I couldn't get enough of the pictures. Your narratives are awesome. I have learned more from them than I could have from any history book. The time you took to do this album justice is amazing, and well worth the effort! Seeing all of these places that are etched in our histories and our religions is a priceless present that you have bestowed upon us! Thank you dear Orly for this album, it is a treasure! Take care dear friend...Darlene

Hi Orly! Yet another wonderful album showing this beautiful city. I truly enjoyed it, even though it took me several sessions. So many great photo's, and as we are used to from you, so very well documented. Ever thought about going into the travel guide business, I think this album with the most informative captions would make a great book for many people visiting the city and surrounding area! Take care, Mark

Hi Orly! This is cool, especially that I grew up there. I see that not much has changed in 16 years. My trip home is postponed, but your pictures took me on a virtual, and visually fulfilling trip. Your photos reminded me of who I am, and brought up a lot of mixed memories. Thank you for sharing. Best Regards. Majed

Hi Orly, it must be an awesome experience to live in a city surrounded by so much history. There's a wealth of culture at hand for those ready and willing to embrace it. I appreciate the effort you've made to capture and share the rich diversity, and share it with us. Many thanks for your entries in my Fun at The Fair and Celebrating 100,000 Views guestbooks. Both were appreciated. I am happy to answer your Photoshop question, although here is probably not the right place. If you send me an email, I'll write you a full reply (keith_2194@yahoo,com.au) . Best wishes, Keith in Sydney.

Hi Orly, how are your studies? Hopefully you are now near the to end of this part, aren't you? I had 2 week off the net. My PC crashed down and it took me a while to get back on the net. In the first moment I thought all me photos from the last year were gone with the wind. NOW I backed everything up. Thanks for your lovely messages. I think you are the only one who read the text in the flower-power album. I meant it otherwise, not that coffee is as strong as love, but: that there are all sorts of coffee (milk coffee, black coffee, vanilla coffee, cappuccino, Nescafe, decaffeinated coffee and so on) - as there are all sorts of love (first love, deep love, hot love, platonic love, virtual love, love on the net, love in space, space in love and so on . . . .):-) So you went back to Jerusalem, this time with a strong power pack! :-) Thanks for the wonderful tour and for all that information. I enjoyed especially the pictures of Mt. Olives. Okay, it IS a cemetery - - but your captures are great. I love the details, the candles, the stones, the people and the views from the height of the graves The picture of the 'Shiloach Pool' reminded me how we passed that tunnel when I still was learning at the 'Ulpan'. It was raining a bit and the water was so high that there were some steps we had to do under water. . . . . . Orly, I hope you are fine. Soon I will be back with new albums - I hope. :-) Have a wonderful week! Galit

This is one of the most fabulous tours and pictures I have seen. It is amazing how much time you must have spent in taking these, and then describing every picture as a real historian. The children are just adorable. Thank you for sharing and I must look at your other albums. Greetings from Florida. Juliette

Orly. I cannot thank you enough for the positive and encouraging comments on all my new albums. Webshots has a few glitches. For once, after you create a new album, it labels all your albums as new. I actually found out about the glitch while viewing your page. "Wow! Orly updated all her albums", I said to myself. Then I exclaimed when I found out that I too have updated every single album, even though I added albums, and left the old ones untouched. The other glitch is the directory glitch you mentioned, where they put the newest albums on the last page even though you ask to view the "Newest". WS must be having a high turnover of programmers, where the new ones unknowingly destroy the work of the previous ones. I hope they will fix the glitches for all of us in the near future. Please try not to let WS get under your skin. Have a Nice and a wonderful summer. Kind Regards. Majed

Hi Orly, This is one of the most appealing albums I have seen in a long time. I love pictures of historic cities with their ancient buildings and no city is more historic and ancient than Jerusalem. It must be a photographer's best dream come true and you certainly do a great job of capturing it. I particularly like your panoramas. Great seamless stitching! Hello dear Orly! Thank you for this beautiful collection of images from this special place. For some reason this town is bound to the sense of a unique god, as the major monotheistic religions in the world have here a n earth fundament. It looks the strongest sign that our god (whichever) wanted to give us to stay joyned together. But as we all seem to be deaf and blind, very very properly comes this gorgeous album as the most beautiful of invitations. And not less beautiful are the eyes and smiles of those children in the last photos, that reach directly the hearts of all of us. Thank you Orly, best wishes! Ale :-) from Italy

Finally, this album is featured. It is a long-overdue debt that Webshots owed to you, and it is being paid off. I am sure the Webshots viewers response will be overwhelming. You have captured many aspects of this ancient treasure. I am personally happy that Jerusalem is the main featured album. It brings memories of my childhood, of the persisting conflict, and of the pressing need for just and long-lasting peace. Thank you Orly for a perfect-score album. Best Regards. Majed
