Dear David, Please recommend from your experience a couple of great small towns that are very "German" as I am travelling in Germany with my two small children 3 & 6. I am hoping for cute old B&B's and great little shopping towns. We don't move too quickly so I am hoping for lots of visual architecture, townsquares etc. Thanks. (only if you have time.) I love your pictures, but I can't tell the atmosphere of the town. Lesleigh.

Hi, great pictures. I don't know whether you have ever been to Alcossebre on Spain's East Coast but I find it to be a very beautiful part of the world. Have a look for yourself on http://www.eastcoastspain.com and click the locality and picture pages to gain a feel for the area. There is a great National Park ideal for walkers, bird watching, flowers and fauna enthusiasts as well as having some breath taking views.

Howdy, The pix "Bad Wimpfen am Neckar, Germany" which is on Page 3 of this album, I believe is Bernkastel am Mosel. I used to visit this town every year or more to attend the Fireworks display, which was spectacular! It featured Barges in the river shooting cannons (fireworks) at the Schloss on the Hillside above the Town of Bernkastel. There was much wine, wurst, Kartoffle Pankoeks mit Affelmuss, and of course - bier. A typical German Fest. I could be wrong about the photo, but at least it gave me an opportunity to share these experiences with you. I was a teacher for the Military for 20 years and was stationed in Germany for 11 of them in the Hunsruck(Bamholder - Army base) and Bitburg (Air Force Base - now closed) where they brew Bitburger Pils. We lived in A small town called Kordel on a tributary of the Mosel River. It was called the Kyll (believe it or not). There was a small ort upriver from us called Auw (Ow) no joke look it up on a map. Those were good times. Close for now deberett
