What a great album! You may say your albums are not exotic but what you share is so very well done. Your "little" trips to me are quite LARGE and wonderful. This is the first albumof yours I clicked on and I love these photos! I scanned the view of your other albums and they all look colorful and worth exploring. I would love to know what camera you use. Hi Ruggero, indeed we share the same subject but I wouldn't dare comparing my 'Kites and Kids' album to your album. It was this album where I realized how important is to be able to zoom with a decent lens. With my camera I could get good enouth pictures of the kids but it was not sufficient for the kites. However, your pictures are simply great and no wonder this album was featured. Anyway, thanks for visiting my albums and for sharing your albums. I enjoy visiting them from time to time (sometimes without tracks in the guestbook but with track in the views statistics...). Take care, Yair.

Hi Ruggero!!! Just a quick note to thank you for remembering me when most people have forgotten!! I value your friendship! My new camera is a Canon Digital Rebel. I bartered for it with a friend and it has a yummy 300mm telephoto lens as an add on. It is not really the Canon I would buy if I was rich, but at least it is a real SLR and has possibilities. I am enjoying the intial experiences. Sally has more mgpx, but this one can reach out with it's big lens. As far as the old days in Webshots...they are missed...I kind of wonder about it sometimes and my green mile album has 7500 views with no feature or anything....it's really a popular one. Now that I am in a different line of work, I may not be able to afford to keep my webshots membership up. Kind of expensive for what you get here. If you type Avon Descent Australia into your browser you will find a mass of information on what has become one of the world's greatest white water events, held in August every year. The Galleries contain heaps of photos, some of which were taken on the same stretch of the river that I have photographed in this album. The very last picture is my favorite, - if one can talk about favorites looking at 100 perfect pictures. It looks a lot like 'Father's day'! :-) I assume, there is a dream of playing and flying in everyone, but it seems to be hard work too. Hello Ruggero. Like you, I do not normally go much on large albums but where you are concerned I always make an exception. In this case I went through all 100 photos in full screen slide show set for 10 seconds a shot! (Work that out!!) I had a wonderful time, seeing a different side to your work and absolutely loving it. Very well done my friend. A pure riot of colour and one can only imagine the number of work hours that went into the making of those superb creations. I can also well imagine the heart searching you did to cut 500 photos down to a mere 100 for the album! Thanks for your comments on my rainbows and rain photos - greatly appreciated. It will give you an idea how scarce rain is here that I should use up part of an album just taking photos of it!! Piu' di 500 foto! Capisco la difficolta' di selezionare gli scatti, ma hai scelto bene, perche' in queste 100 scelte non ci siano punti deboli. Appassionato come sei delle combinazioni cromatiche non potevi lasciarti sfuggire questi incredibili e fantasiosi soggetti. Per me gli aquiloni migliori sono quelli con forme astratte come anelli e stelle: sei riuscito ad isolarli nel cielo (sempre un elemento importante nelle tue foto), producendo alcune immagini attraenti e surreali (sembrano disegni geometrici). Belle e divertenti le foto con i simpatici personaggi indaffarati a far decollare o a trattenere questi ingombranti "tendoni&quo t;. L'intero album si scorre con grande leggerezza, l'atmosfera e' sognante e volando insieme agli aquiloni sembra di respirare la brezza marina, pervasi da un senso illimitato di liberta'. Inotre ti ringrazio per il tuo esauriente ed appropriato commento al mio ultimo album: il tuo scritto e' un esempio di come dovrebbero essere correttamente utilizzati i guestbook! Caro Ruggero, di nuovo sei riuscito a sorprenderci: non perchè ci mostri delle fotografie di grande qualità - questo lo fai sempre e lo sappiamo tutti! Ma perchè proponi un tema tanto bello quanto originale e inatteso. Incredibile quante forme gli aquiloni possano avere - e incredibile che certe forme possano volare! I colori e le composizioni grafiche sono splendidi come sempre e mi e' difficile citare le mie foto preferite. Comunque ho trovato molto divertenti i tuoi titoli e certe vedute originalissime con i personaggi che a volte giocano, a volte lottano con i loro aquiloni. Bravissimo! Mike (Zurigo)

Ciao Ruggero e bravo questo album. I miei commenti sono tutti positivi in quanto questo album ha diverse caratteristiche, la prima è l'originalità delle foto e del tema. La seconda è il perfetto abbinamento cromatico che proponi in ogni foto. La terza è che hai saputo mantenere i colori morbidi , senza saturare più di tanto. Come dicevo anche a Claudio (PaulClaud) qualche giorno fa, saturare troppo i colori in post produzione equivale a rendere innaturale le foto e lìarmonia dei colori. I'm back... And now I've seen it... I know you don't like excessive flattering so it's gonna be a hard task for me... I was waitig and thitsty for this albom , as you told me few days ago on the expected chiled to come... And what a surprise. I was wondering what corner of Italy will you bring in your fantastic way to surprise. Will it be in day light, in a hidden valley or bay, or will it be on an high forgoten mountain. But as usual, you always serprise..... There is no phooto I can say that is exceptional. They are all masterpieces, especialy those with the people in the front. Thank you for this uplifting album, my friend! It is a sheer joy to look at these magnificent kites flying in the sky as if they have life of themselves. Viewing these 100 images passed really fast! Of course they are all of great quality and colors and full of joy. I think it's a success to have such great and interesting 100 photos out of 500. I usually publish about 10% of the photos I take. When you sent me the beautiful Ring trio image I was sure it was some kind of digital painting! Really as Eti said some of the kites, like rings and the beautiful stars, look like abstract paintings or fantasy creatures. And some are funny! I love the shots of the giant lizard flying in the air, you can actually feel how it's arising upwards! How nice to see Davide's and Matteo's kite inside the fire ring. That took some courage! :-) Fantastic shots of the bears and pinguins flying together! Absolutely delightful seeing all these beautiful kites. Also nice to get a view of what's hapenning on the ground, like in the shot of the acrobatic pilot (53). A perfect image of the gold tube (56). A wonderful series of the colorful line (68-71). Looks as if you were flying those kites yourself to create good pictures! I love the colorful details at 95! Finally, the last image is great and it gives a good impression of the happy atmosphere. The sky were really crowded! My compliments for yet another splendid album. Un grande abbraccio! Orly
