  • Hi! Thanks for your nice comments on my backsplash. The backsplash is generic (non-branded) 2"x2" tumbled multicolored slate from India (also sometimes called "Kund" rather than multicolored). We got it at Expo for $13.95 sq. ft. It comes on a mesh backing (each 1 sq. ft). Easy to seal, stays sealed for a long, long time and cleans up easier that I ever thought it would (I was a bit concerned about porosity, but it's been great). The slate costs twice as much at most tile showrooms. Home Depot Expo was a godsend.

  • Hi, I'm resoring an old California bungalow and came across the pictures of your kitchen. I would love to find information about your backsplash. I've been looking for something very similar to it, and any advice would be helpful. Shannon

  • Thanks so much! Here's the URL for the stools: http://14ushop.com/BarStools/metalstools.html They're pricey, but are incredibly heavy and well made; totally worth it.
