Hi Orly. It's a beautiful album. Did you support the picture of the sign in Iran that called to burn israel? It sounded like that from your response to Sina. Please clerify. I am glad to report that Sina understood that our feelings were hurt, and he removed the hateful picture. Regards, Nurit

Hi, Orly: Have visited this album many times and just yesterday wrote to tommili100 after having viewed his new album of Tel-Aviv beach scenes. Although you come from Haifa, I'm sure you're aware that our beloved Gordon Pool overlooking the Tel-Aviv marina is in the midst of a very ugly fight between the owner (Maudy?) and the T-A Municipality. This summer the pool is only open for 3 months (June-August) and may never open again! Please have it in your heart to photograph this magnificent salt-water pool (perhaps the best in the world) perhaps from Kikar Atarim so we can enjoy it for posterity. You can also get interesting shots of people as well. PLEASE IMMORTALIZE THIS WONDERFUL LANDMARK THAT IS DOOMED. Thanks so much for listening. God bless you! Miriam Mishory (a faithful Gordonite) (mimi_@netvision.net.il)

Hi Orly, this is a wonderful album. I recently created an album of Nahalat Binyamin and some of the artist in your pictures are also the stars of mine ... I have plans you take pictures in Neve Ztedek soon and after seeing your pictures, I guess I'll hurry and do it next week. Yair

Hey Orly, thanks for the very kind words on my Elf Fantasy album! Like you, I'm not into this stuff either (neither read or seen Lord of the Rings), but it sure was a great subject to photograph. And about that other website, wasn't too hard, I work there :-) All the best, Mark

Dear Orly. For your questions: Yes, All you have to do is to open a good history book. The small Jewish minority in Jaffa on the end of the 19th , suffered from the arabs . Most of the Jewish imigration that came to Palestain on the end of the 19th true the only gate - the Jaffa port , left To other places, as they where not welcome in Jaffa. On 1920 , one year after the begining of the british mandat in Palestain , H .Brener (The famose writer) with many more, was Murded by arabs gangs , Just for being Jews. The cemetery in Tropeldor st' is full with those had been murded on the end of the 19'th. There was no place to buri Jews in Jaffa,so they cary the bodys for few houers to the north , in the sends , where they could buy a cheap part of land for the dead. The Eden cinema, belong today to Bank-Leumi, how use it as an backing to the computer bank center in Lood. Once, when the bank was small , it was the bank computer center. I know that the bank would be more then happy to sale this place, but this area, is not popolar any more, as big companis left to places with more parking places and easy traffic exactin, like the dimond complex in Ramat-Gan or Azrieli towers.

Dear ORLY. It was my hounor to dedicat my new albom to you and ROGERO. Despite the fact and the suspicion that I am much older then you, I am a beginer in phooto shoting and I am learning and studing every day. Art painters are allways "blamed" ; by geting influence from former painters. I wish I could paint, but I am not more then an whitewasher with paintbrush. So I found a way to express my point of view in shoting photos when ever I can. You, ROGERO and people like Maurizio Melangone , Clarita and many more, are my school legators , and I am trying to cach and to learn so called tecnical acts. And again, your albom was my guidnes, and I walked in my new albom in your steps. The only diferent, is that I am very familiar to Tel-Aviv, and I know every corner there. In Haifa your home town, I am certain you can be my tour guide. Anyhow, do check allso my other two new alboms that I have in the comunity.

Hi Orly, I see, the dust could not ruin your photos! :-) My cleaning was not ruined by the dust - I started late enough to clean only once! We had a wonderful holiday with all parts of the family! - Tomorrow begins again the exhausting part of life: work! Thanks for inviting me to this wonderful album! I see you did again a PhD on an album! :-) Your city albums should be printed! Really! But on the other site: who reads books!? Books do not have a slideshow like Webshots!! :-) Reading a book in 'F12-mode' on the web, what can be better? Thanks for all that information. I love that! In the end even I know something more about Tel-Aviv. As always I love your beautiful details and all those views behind the curtain! #7 'Looking at Jaffa', looks to me like always. When the view is not dusty then it will be hazy . . . . . #10 'The Drum Beach' so empty and tidy. After looking at Tomi's pictures it looks like the 'morning after' when everyone slept over... #12+13 on the Head - nice to show us the other side too. I see they all did not see you . . . . . avoiding paparazzi? Ha!! # 16 the reservist, he got you! #20 "Alte Zachen" Lovely #21 David Intercontinental Hotel & Hassan Bek Mosque - Wow! You should put that on the cover! I like the parallel lines of the buildings and the palm tree. #24 Rothschild Avenue, Thanks for some of my lovely trees :-) Here are paparazzi on bikes . . .did you stop them to ask for permission to put them on the net?? #25,26,27, 31 all those 'Houses' look better than I remember them. Nice to see them renovated. #32 Shuk HaCarmel - please give Dan an other 'Thanks ' from me for that translation :-D #37 The Glass artist seems to sit there for ever, last time I saw him he was much younger. I see ,I haven't been there for a really long time . . . Thanks for showing 'the life' around, the shuk, all those people and what they are looking for, showing, that life is going on here! :-) . . .even with terror acts and even. . . . . . on an 'Hamsin' day :-) My favorite of the 'people pix' is #44 An Excited Meeting! Aren't they cute? In #48 find an special aspect seeing that red head between the men. Orly, as always it was a pleasure to visit! I hope you had some rest too over the holidays? Or did you get away by climbing on some other cute mountain with the Hug-Elad? Lol Galit

Orly! The comment above the olives is the one I like the best. I kept laughing and laughing. It is amazing what people come up with to make you buy things from them. Sounds like you had fun in the city of contrasts Tel Aviv and you capturd it very well in your album. Regards. Majed

Hello Orly! What a fascinating album! Tel Aviv seen through your eyes is a treat. The architecture is so varied right from the David Hotel to the Bauhaus apartments. More than all of that, I really enjoyed the people pictures. I have a great weakness for such photographs as they truly reflect the colour and the soul of a city and, indeed, the nation. You have done a great job on that score. I particularly enjoyed the Nachalat pedestrian mall pictures. They are so full of life! Once again. my friend, you have shared with us a truly wonderful and people oriented album. Best wishes, Suresh

Dear Orly. What a wonderful albom. Thanks for taking me to places I am allmost every day for many many years. By the way, the former Soviet embassy, was an embassy for few years only, and the house had a big history . Today, it is the home of the famose auction firm Sottobys. The opera tower, was the place where the first Kneset stood , till it was moved to Jerusalem. Edit-De-Philip, was the women how was the founder of the Opera home that was origenly there befor the present building. The present building took his name from the First kneset/opera that was there befor. The new opera home, is in Golda center between Iben-Geviril and Namir st' Anyhow, you have doen a most wonderful job, and youe explans are exellent.

Again an INTERESTING trip in Israel life! I was waiting the reportage from your last hike, but you put online this city life story and I must admit that it's a pleasure look at it. As usual I love your way to describe Israel life and to look at your people (and at different ones). As usual I'm touched for the strange mixture of dead and life that for you is "normal" ; (I'm thinking mainly at shot 19). As usual I'm amazed for your capacity to describe our life..... Un GRANDE ABBRACCIO I will return in silence to study.... Ruggero
