Album Description:

An album of gum nuts, I know nothing about gumnuts, other than they come in amazing shapes and sizes. They have great camera sense and will pose for the same shot as many times as I want, and without complaining.

    • Hello Keith, all aload of nuts as far as I am concerned, love your humour in the latest blogs and your comments about spring. made me smile only 30 degrees, well here that is quiet cold infact 30 F is freezing. But of course have to take into consideration that you are an Aussie. Good on yer mate we do tend in the N. Hemisphere to think that Spring starts in March and not at any other time, lol, about these nuts I take it they are from the Gum tree of which there are several different types, nice piece of photography as always and thanks for the kind words about mine, take care my friend and good luck with the comming winter, Ken

    • Hi Keith, thanks for not giving up on me! I have neglected you badly not on purpose, but out of lack of time. This album is growing beautifully. Gladys told me about the many different gum trees, but I didn't realize the differences are so big. Your close-ups are very beautiful. Is there any use for those gum nuts? They for sure are not edible!? Thanks for looking at my 2 last albums. I enjoyed your lesson that a tree is never alone. You are absolutely right! At last I enjoyed reading your profile, smiling from the beginning to the end! :-) I liked your favorite movies too! - Have a wonderful day! Galit from Israel

    • Hi Keith, thanks for visiting my albums while I visited NZ. Thanks for your greetings in my featured album. I enjoyed this album, it is a very original subject for an album. It demonstrates that good photography does not depend on beautiful landscapes or scenery. I intend to release some new albums of New Zealand in the next few days. You're invited to take a look. Take care, Yair.

    • Hi Keith! This album could go on for a long time if you attempt to collect about 700 types of Australian Gumnuts, but you are off to a good start here. Love the attractive colourings in your new addition. My guess is that the outer coating has peeled off as it decomposes at the end of its life cycle. But it is an interesting find. Well done.. Gladys.

    • Who would have thought an entire album could be made of something like 'gum nuts' but certainly, our very talented friend has the art of creating anything superbly and presenting it in such style. It's fabulous - an excellent job - like all your other albums it's an excellent job - the topics and content really do keep one glued with exceptional interest - never too late to learn! Thanks for sharing. Sue

    • HI Keith, what a great idea for a theme for your album. Who would have thought gumnuts could be so interesting. You have inspired me to look outside the square when it comes to photography. I will have to get my thinking cap on to come up with something as good as these though. Thanks for sharing...from Chris - QLD :-)

    • Hi Keith! You will most likely start an Australia wide craze with this album, we will all go out and photograph Gumnuts. You have only touched the tip of the iceberg, there are so many different shapes, sizes, etc.. Don't loose that precious 1c coin, it is almost a museum piece now.. Have a good day.. Gladys.

    • Hey Keith, where'd you rake up a one cent piece? You're almost as bad as me with an English silver threepenny bit! This is a great album old buddy and anyone who can get in excess of 25 photos of a humble gum nut must have a stroke of something in him (I shall refrain from stating the obvious!!) I have a little idea in the back of my head right now and I'll email you as soon as I have checked it out. Once again, well done and Australia can be proud of you. Peter
