Hello Suresh, Two times I came to the wonderful place of kajuraho. The second time I spent a whole day amidst the temples just absorbing the atmosphere of the place. I admired your beautiful range of phot0s and the interesting describtions. I love India and this is one of my favourite places. The village itself changed a lot within 10 years. Thanks.

I got myself to the Sahara Desert twice. Saw a little of Europe on the way. Always wanted to visit India! The ancient treasures you beautifully photgraphed here is "one" of my reasons for wanting to go. I could drive out to the University Bookstore, near the Univ. of Washington, (Seattle), and doubt if I could find a book even close to as good as your album here is - with all you have photographed! And that bookstore is a an impressive store too! "What a pleasure" to view all these magnificent treasures from India!!! That's truth - not polite flattery!

Hello Suresh, I am so happy you enjoyed my Easter Album, I am so blessed to have wonderful webshots friends like you! This album left me speechless. What a magnificent temple this is!I learned to appreciate and embrace the Indian Culture and People when we spent 4 years living in Singapore, which has quite a large Indian Population. I spent so much time visiting the many Indian Temples there, they reflect the deeply devout nature of the indian people, always a humbling experience! Have a wonderful day! Marita

Excellent shot. Brings back fond memories of graduate school, 1969, when I had a chance to live and travel in India for a year. Visited many temples including this one but my slides are packed away and probably fading. Thanks for the souvenir.

Love the temple photos, Suresh! Yes, I do have a connection to India. Probably before you were born - LOL - I spent almost a year there...one time for about 6 months in 1969 and another 4 months in 1972. Most of the second visit was for my then brother-in-law's marriage, but the first visit was spent traveling about that beautiful, ancient land. I loved every minute of it, and it was the adventure of my lifetime. I'll never forget the sights and smells or the warm, wonderful people. I will always have great affection for India and the Indian people. I only wish health and circumstances would allow me to visit again, but alas....it is not to be. Thanks for visiting my albums and your very kind comments. I'm nowhere near the photographer YOU are, but I do love to take photos. I've always said, "If you don't have a picture of it, then it didn't happen." Warmest regards from Kat

WArm greetings Suresh! I place I sadly never got to visit while living in India, fortunately I am able to view it through your excellent and personal interpretation. I love the detail you focused on in showing these magnificent sculptures and passing on the deeper meanings they convey within the whole of the Hindu Pantheon. The stories of the many deities are fascinating and I bought the cartoon art book of the Ramayana. I know that is only a part of the whole pantheon, and to a foreigner it suddenly gets all too overwhelming to find out just how many are in the Pantheon! When I was living in Mumbai, the festival that I loved to view as an outsider was the Ganesh pooja, so colourful and lively. Anyway, getting too carried away here, but I really enjoyed taking this tour through your gifted eyes. Many thanks and peace to your family, amy

Thanks Suresh :-) I did notice that some emails I was supposed to get didn't arrive, but Webshots guestbook entries miraculously did! I guess we're having some mail problems (again), but I'm not too worried about them. Right now I'm more troubled with the weather, since I want to make a new album and each time I have an opportunity there is a weather problem: One time it's too hot, another time it's cloudy and now it's dusty! Well, some day I'm going to make a new album! Thanks again for you're nice words, and I hope you are not experiencing any obstacles in taking more pictures. Warm wishes, Orly

Moreover, your explanations are more than welcome, otherwise we would look only at the beauty without understanding the why of their existence. Dear Suresh, these are beautiful pictures of a wonderful and very impressive place. So many sculptures and details, I could spend a whole week there and it would not be enough. The sculptures and temples are superb. It is interesting to see Jain temples as well. I saw one in Delhi and a few Jain sculptures in Karnataka. But I was particularly pleased to see a wonderful sculpture of my favourite Hindu deity, Ganesha, and of course his mother, Parvathi and her husband Shiva. I have a large collection of Ganeshas at home, in many different styles and materials, which I bought not only in India, but in different European countries as well. I find him particularly appealing. Kindest regards, and looking forward to more of your pictures. Marjon.

Impressive collection... We have finally changed our plans and we won't go to India this year. But we will definitively go one day and these pictures are perfect to convince me that we HAVE to! Your culture has really something astounding. I also agree with Ruggero, the final portraits gave a very nice end to this album... Congratulation, dear, do we gonna see some of these beauties in R'osity?

Dear Suresh. You have really produced an outstanding album this time Suresh! I love Khajuraho. Wow... what an awesome place in beautiful India!!! You have certainly described every shot with explicit detail and the description is informative and educational. The temples you have captured are outstanding - the sculptures, even after 1000 years are absolutely breathtakingly beautiful. The art is on par with anything that Michaelangelo has done... the Egyptian sculptures and in fact the Chinese sculptures that have adorned art books for years... this is exceptional work. I have to stop and wonder why are these temples not made known to us here in the western world. The attention to detail... for Indian art way back then - this is truly incredible stuff. Personally, the erotic sculptures are very tasteful and are beautiful. To be able to carve such emotion and eroticism which is so life-like and moving is mindblowing. I read your captions again and again and so appreciate the time you have taken to make such an outstanding album Suresh. You never cease to amaze me. I love what you see through your eyes and I again thank you for taking me to such an awesome part of the world... Congratulations Suresh - you are an ARTIST!

I'm amazed for the beauty and the sensuality of those womens from 1000 year ago, for the perfections of body movements, for the incredible details of figures and for thei number! GREAT!! Excellent job, a true gift for me, and the FANTASTIC portraits in its final part are the best end ! BRAVISSIMO! GRAZIE! Un GRANDE CIAO Ruggero

Hi Suresh! Thank you for inviting me to this album. It is brilliant!! You have done great job capturing this splendorous site. I love all your closeups. The figures are all so graceful and vivid. Wonderful compositions and lightning and great care for details, as usual. Your lucid explanations of the rich Hindu mythology makes this wonderful tour more meaningful. I don't know if I am prudish, but I see many vulgar things every day in our modern world. I don't see anything vulgar about these beautiful sculptures. Finally, the human portraits at the end are fantastic. Thank you for this marvelous album. I hope it will be featured. Warm regards, Orly

Hi Suresh!! I started with the slide show, but then went over to the one at a time view because the amazement I was experiencing required a closer and longer look! WOW WOW WOW this is amazing! It is incredible to see these thousands of highly detailed artworks in such good condition after 1000 years! Especially considering the random complete destruction of other temples in the area. Thank so so much for sharing these incredible sights with us!!! Something I would surely never had known about, let alone seen!! :o) I just can't stop saying AMAZING!!! But there's hardly any other word that fits! hmmmmm...maybe UNBELIEVEABLE!!! LOL Great work covering the subject and thanks again! :o)barbara

Hi Suresh, what else can I say but Wow, what lovely photos. I wonder how they got the sculptures to look so good, that long ago? It would be hard to produce things like that nowadays, never mind back then. I would like to visit those temples someday, just to admire the true beauty in real life. Hope you are well, and thanks for the invite to this marvelous album, all the best, George

Dear Suresh, Happy to see Your new production; We have visited this fabulous place in 1980, a now far past! I will never forget the sounds of little groups laughing here and there probably commenting the erotic statues! In our group there was a very precious woman, speaking a stilted French ( she was teacher of French language), never ready on tour departure each morning because arranging the colour of her shoes to her dress; I was younger and perhaps nice boy to her eyes; Passing together and alone in front of a strong erotic scene showing an animal coupled with a woman, she said me: And if we reproduced the scene??? I was strongly surprised, ashamed and wordless!!! Your album with the very instructive comments is an art master piece where every picture is a success; The global temples views have always a perfect composition (4,18,25,30,59); Sometimes my attention has been retained by the subject and the associated comment as in #36, or by the colour and the light as in 7, 10, 24, 28, often by the photo quality associated with a graceful subject as in 11, 21, 31, 42, 46 & 47; People shots always attract me and 67 is a so well depicted smile with its usual little girl ‘s shy; Why did You write that the doorman was genial? Because of his face or because he was very clever? I will come often to see again these beautiful and instructive pictures which teach me many things about the Deities of the Hindu Pantheon; It was a great pleasure to re visit the place with such a Guide, congratulations and take care, Jacques

Hi Suresh, thank you so much for sharing these amazing photos! This is one of the most interesting tours I've had in Webshots, and now I wish more than ever to be able to travel to your most fascinating and beautiful country in the future. I will one day for sure! I love all these pics, the photos of the buildings and sculptures are fantastic, especially with your captions and the stories. Absolutely great! I always wonder and think with great respect and admiration the people in the past centuries who have been able to build such amazing kind of art, with the equipment they had at their times. Gorgeous!! Thank you so much for sharing this beauty, I'm happy! I wish you the happiest weekend, my friend. Take care, with warmest greetings, your Finnish friend Salla ps. I seem to be the first to sign here, a great honour and joy!
