  • Hi everbody I don't know if i am doing this right but I am trying to give away my nans treadle singer sewing machine which I have her reciept for when she bought it 109 years ago. I have just cleared out my aunties house and found it. I don't want to send it to the dump but I am getting desperate to find it a good new home where it can be treasured again. I am in the UK is there anyone out there who would give it a home. They would have to arrange to take it away. Sorry to use this site but I thought someone might know a UK person who would like it and it seemed a place where people loved their sewing machines. PLEASE CAN YOU HELP TO FIND THIS MACHINE A NEW HOME

  • I have 2 singer sewing machines 1 from my mother & the2 one from my mother in law I am sure they are worth something. I also have a child's singer sewing machine that attaches to a table that I used as a child. That one has to be worth something.

  • Hi, I have just purchased a Model 12 folding top at a local estate auction yesterday 8/20/05. The serial mumbers on my machine are 344032 to 260032. I have been collecting old Singers for about a year now and I love them. I have all the web sites you have listed, but cannot find much information on the Model 12 folding table. Can you give me a ball park figure on the value of it? I am considering a professional restortion on this machine, would that be wise? I have pictures I can send you. Here is my email sheryl@woh.rr.com. You have some very beautiful machines and quilts. Great website, thanks Sheryl

  • I don't check in here very often, and apologise for being late to answer questions. There are some very good places to check out machines and learn about them. In alphabetical order, you might try www.ismacs.net, www.needlebar.com, and www.treadleon.net for lots of good information on identifying and caring for machines.
