The NASA Railroad is a bridge route carring interchange from the Florida East Coast Railway to the Cape Canaveral Air Force Station. dedicated server NASA has 2 yards, Jay-Jay where they interchange with FEC and Wilson yard where they store hoppers and cars to be retired.

Hi, Impressive to say the least-must've been interesting to be so close to the work area and Nasa as a whole and photograph these working engines. Good album here, thanks for the showing. I'm looking for someone that can either help me define parts-pictures of a diesel Switcher or show or tell me where I might find that information. I have to tell you that I'm rather new at shooting loco's, but I've just updated my site with a 1922 Baldwin Steam Locomotive yesterday and I'd appreciate if you'd visit my site and let me know what you think of what I shot and leave a note if you would. Taking photos of this engine and then defining the parts was an education in itself. Asking around to those in the know and hitting the library, I hope I covered all and got the parts correct. We've a diesel coming next, a Switcher, as they call it and know nothing about it and I'd like to define the diesel's parts as well. Any idea where I might locate the nomenclature on one? Again, thanks for showing this album. Ron/Oregon Coast
