trevalou and sunnybelle1979, if you think that criticizing the president is unpatriotic then you have no clue what patriotism for the United States of America truly means and how to express it. a ribbon magnet or flag sticker on your SUV does not cut it nor a waving flag on your SUV. actions speak louder than words and words speak a lot louder than stupid ribbon magnets and flag stickers. speaking out against the government because you're concerned of our country and care for our country so that you have to speak out. this is patriotism. this is an essential ingredient of patriotism. speaking out against the government and disagreeing with your ruler is on the top five ways to show patriotism. fighting for your country regardless of whether you agree with the government is #1 both show you deeply care for this country one of the reasons America was founded was to escape persecution from a MONARCHY, ROYAL oppression and RELIGIOUS persecution from the official religion and its authorities persecuting Christians of other denominations, people of other faiths and religious persecution of people's personal lives and activities because they didn't go to church. and not conforming to one of these posing the threat of arrest or imprisonment especially if you criticize or disagree with the ruler. puritans and quakers were religious groups that escaped vicious persecution by the Anglican church and Episcopal church. this is what a Democracy and a Republic is meant to get away from so that under these progressive governments, citizens have the freedom to criticize and disagree with the ruler and speak out against the government. i didn't #### when right-wingers criticized President Clinton. it was their right. the only thing i did criticize was the reasons they chose to criticize him. they should criticize a president on his performance in government not his personal life. but i couldn't argue with their right to speak out against him. this is a cornerstone of what our country stands for. not supporting a president has nothing to do with patriotism. not supporting your country and not supporting American Democracy and the United States Republic isn't patriotic but the president is just a man. our country and what it stands for is timeless and honorable beyond words. you cannot possibly imagine how different the two are and how far the priorities are between the importance of supporting each. i support our history, our triumphs, our defeats, our glory and our dishonor and i support what this country was founded on and the form of government and the spirit of courage and progress it is a beacon of but every citizen of the Unityed States of America reserves the right to criticize publicly and disagree with whatever individual is president. he is our current ruler, not the American bald eagle. quit confusing president Bush with the American bald eagle or George Washington. quit confusing Bush with Christ the Messiah. Bush is the farthest from Christ you can get because Bush is just a man, not a prophet or the Messiah.

I AM OFFENDED BY THIS "PATRIOTIC&q uot; PHOTO. MY SON SERVES IN THE U.S.MARINE CORP, AND WE SUPPORT PRESIDENT BUSH AND HIS ENDEAVORS TO FREE ANOTHER COUNTRY. I THINK THIS PHOTO IS SOMEONE'S POOR EFFORT AT PRESIDENTIAL HUMOR AND IS UNNECESARY FOR THIS SIGHT TO CARRY. I WOULD NOT WANT TO HAVE TO EXPLAIN TO MY GRANDCHILDREN WHY SOMEONE WOULD "DEFAME" ; ONE OF OUR NATIONS PRESIDENTS. SINCERELY. SUNNY

This is very unpatriotic. Regaurdless how we feel about our president - he is our president and should be showen respect. This is very distasteful, and SHOULD NOT be included in the "Patriotic&q uot; search.
