These bears are precious. They are often victims of poaching. Personally I don't see how anyone in their right mind could kill such a magnificent yet adorable animal...also, their intelligence is being found to be that of the great apes and emotinally complex!! Thanks to precious Knut of the Berlin Zoo I have become an avid bear fan.

My Dear friend Vera. Thank very much for your most kind comments at my last albums from my short one week visit to Hong-Kong. The trip I took, was unplaned in advance. As a Golden El-Al passenger, ( Israeli air-lines) I receive from time to time offers and dills. As I have no obligations to a formal job, I"m free to cach dills. So El-Al informed me that I can get a flight to Hong-Kong in a quarter than the normal price if I will get a decision in a week time. As I never was in Hong-Kong, I jumped on the dill happly, and I must say that the 12 hour flight was worth every sent. Hong-Kong as a gate to china, is a duty free zone. The chinese how visit this place, need a visa......This is a paradise for shoping lover and my wife was very happy there.....mAnd me - I had enjoyed my camera there with so many objects to shot.... ( I bought there a 28/300 lens for my camera in a very logic price, and now I don't have to change lenses as this one is doing all the work) I didn't new that Panda are bears as you say( so stupid of me)I knew that they eat bambo. My daughter use to had at here garden in here former house, bambo. I have to say as here "privet gardner" that the BAMBO was for me a big head-ache, as his growth is very quick and there is almost no comon way to remove him in a normal way....:) I wish you all the best. On Photo 60 of 63, the "feeding" pic, was the rabbit alive? That's very interesting, and though I'm sure there are those who would find this apalling, I think it would help the animals fight the boredom that comes from being in a zoo. Especially the big cats, those of us who have domestic cats often think nothing of allowing them to catch mice, we even encourage it, but not wild cats...it's hypocrasy. I might not do it during "display" times, but it none the less at least should be considered.

Love the album, you did a great job of capturing the animals, however, there is one correction you should make, the photo you named "Gepard - hunting-leopard" is of a cheetah, not a leopard (note the blk "tear" line running down it's face, a clear sign of a cheetah)

Really enjoyed your polar bear photo and the white peacock was spectacular. I've only see one other and that is in the San Diego Zoo in Balboa Park,San Diego, Californis. Of course, I was there over 20 years ago, so the peacock may not still be there. I always try to get pictures of the wildlife when Ed and I go out taking photographs. Die Elefantenbilder sind ja süss. Leider ist es immer ein bisschen schwierig bei webshots zu sehen welche Bilder jetzt eigentlich NEU sind...aber die mit den Elefanten sind doch sicherlich NEU?!?!

Hallo Vera! Ja "mann" sollte eben nicht nur Bilder schauen sondern auch mal lesen. Dann hätte ich ja gleich gemerkt, daß Du die wunderschönen Panda Bilder im Zoo gemacht hast. Spricht aber für Dich!!! Natürlich bringen Deine Bilder auch mich auf neue Ideen. Unsere Zoo bietet zwar lange nicht so viele und interessante Tiere wie der Zoo in Wien, aber das sollte mich nicht abhalten. Würde mich auch freuen, wenn Du noch mehr Bilder von Wien bringst. Einfach weiter so.... Gruß Michael
