Another amazing album! I love the look of the stoic bronze statues against the bright blue sky, and those older buildings with the grey mist rolling in around them. Fabulous photography, I must say.

Hello Fred - wonderful album, great shots... We visited both battlefields, not at the same time, though... Your splendid album would be perhaps more meaningful, if you separated it to an Antietam and a Gettysburg one, since the two battles were many miles and some ten months apart. Warm greetings from (Union territory) NJ - Jim

I just wanted to pop by and say thank you for taking the time to comment on my featured "Enchanted Forest" album. It's positive feedback that gives me the encouragement to keep snapping. Apologies for not getting back sooner but I've been away and missed the feature. Warm regards from Scotland, Craig

Though very belated let me congratulate you on this well deserved feature album. It is full of excellent pictures with fine perspectives. It is also full of civil war history! The Geetysburg address of 'Four score and seven years ago...' is still fresh in my mind. Though I have never been there, your pictures more than compensate for a real trip. Thank you for sharing these lovely photographs with equally informative titles. I also want to thank you for the warm comments on my Peru album. Best wishes, Suresh from India

I'm sorry I missed this as a featured album, so a belated congratulations. This is a very inspiring album, full of wonderful photos that will educate some people. We older folks were taught this in school, but not so sure they even mention it anymore. I would love to get to the area someday. Thanks for bringing it to me here. Sharon from Minnesota

Congratulations on having Antietam to Gettysburg chosen as todays Memorial Day feature. Folks don't seem to honor these men for their contribution to freedom, and what a price they paid. I must get out that way to see the Civil War Battlefields for myself someday...have always wanted to do that tour. Your name 'chief' caught my attention so I took a peek at your profile...my Dad & late husband ware LAFD for 30 & 26 years respectively...Anyway, again, congratulations on being chosen as todays feature. Beautiful photography. Loree
