Jim in Camino - You seem to have posted the solo/Twins pics some time ago, so don't know if you'll ever see this. Anyway. I first checked my journal to see if I'd been there while you were. Nope. I was home nursing a sprained ankle. Otherwise, I'm passing by (or sitting taking it all in at) Twin Lks so often that there would have been a good chance you would have received a happy wave from me. (Behind your camp is Dog Mtn. (Pooch Peak) Under the "Dog's" nose is a granite dome, a couple hundred feet high, which I call "Boogie Dome" because...well, it's right under the "dog's" nose. :) That's my favorite perch. It seems you can see forever--I believe I've seen an orange, setting sun reflecting off the Pacific Ocean. Or maybe San Francisco Bay.) Anyway. I've just been checking out your pics kind of randomly. I got curious about what's going wrong outdoors. (Shepard pass: You don't believe in small cups of coffee, do you? :) Your camera doesn't handle high contrast well. The sunlight really overwhelms the sensors. So my mind immediately thinks "poloroid filter." Might help if one can adapt one to your camera. I might play with a few of your shots in Photoshop if that's okay. If I come up with anything interesting, I'll upload it to a private site where you can dounload it if you care to. "Solo Tree" is a masterpiece. So's your doggie. Congrats on your 1st solo. Gutsy stuff but so worthwhile. Be Well, Jim ;O)
