Great job Em! I think it is important that every family has someone that cares about old photos. I have been we working and doing color oils for studios when I was younger. I find it personally satisfying to fix or to improve on and old photo. You should check a friends photos "fuzzybydesign" , He does such a great job. To save the past for the future and great! Love the job you have done. Thanks for sharing. Max Michigan

Terrific restorations - we know, we've been restoring for the past 6-8 years. Janice & Doug from across the big pond.

Em, you have done a simply fabulous job with these. I have restored many old family photos so know how much patience is required, even with the aid of Photoshop7. I agree with Galit that the old pro photos are usually good to work with because invariably the focus is spot on. I though "Jill" was brilliantly done as was La Jolla but really they are ALL superb. Em, most I like the restoration of your grandparents wedding picture. Sometimes I think, when we restore those old pictures the people in it suddenly become to life, become some how a part of today. That happened to me once when I scanned very old - and tiny - family pictures. Suddenly I saw the expression in their faces and what people said about who looks like who. Since then I absolutely love old professional photos. Mostly they have an excellent quality. - Galit

Hi Em, it is unbelievable what you manage to do with the restoration work! Such a good work, you are no doubt a great artist. I have tried once to hide some wrinkles in a friend's face, but the result wasn't anything that you could show... Your work is fantastic. I see that many people asked you already what program you were using: that must be your secret! Thanks for your words in my album. It's so nice to share photos from one end of the world to the other. Best regards from Geneva. Barbara

Hi Em! Your photo restoration work is very interesting (and good!) indeed. I have been doing more or less the same - although not as successful - with hundreds of old family photos and am nowadays using Photoshop C.S. (I especially like the Shadow/Highlight option). PS. As requested, you may of course use my elephant photos in album "Mammals 2" (or in any other album for that matter) Greetings from the Netherlands

Hi Em! Your restoration work is outstanding! You are a true artist with Photoshop or whatever it is you use. I have done a little of this with my ancestors' photos and know how time consuming and difficult it is. Great work! Thank you for your kind comments in my featured album guestbook today. Warm greetings from California, Beth

Hi and greetings from Kentucky USA. I must admit, I have not seen photo restoration on here before. But this is very impressive work. If not to much trouble, sometime when you get the chance, I would like to know how this is done, or what program you use. Thanks for sharing your talent here. Congratulations on your featured album. Very pretty photos. Keep up the good work... Darrell My email is WorldWide1001@aol.com

Hi Em, I use Paint Shop Pro 7 but I can't get the smoothness that you have obtained, probably because my aged eyes are not too good and hands not too steady, although I have repaied old family photo's with some success.

Very good Em. Did you restore it with a PC programme, or by hand?
