Hi Jaques!! Fabulous album and I found you through pbonu!! The people do look soo beautiful and happy and such a different landscape! The buildings are soo very arnate and intricate and imagine doing all the work!! Loved the photo of the women painting, as saw that stand thing in the photo in the Guest Room at Motel Desert Inn and I wondered what it was!! I had no idea that it was 2 women sitting their painting...under all that cloth!! Thought it may have been some form of artist easel..at first..LOL!! How gorgeous!! I thoroughly enjoyed the magical tour...and all the beautiful art also..especially the ornate camel!! He is gorgeous!! The photos of people are just awesome...and show the beautiful Spirit of the people!! You and pbonu love to capture the essence of these encapturing Spirits and it shines right through in your photos!! Tks for the wonderful journey and sharing your photos!! Have a really great and very Merry Christmas and a Blessed and fabulous New Year 2005...Em from Aussie

Hello Jacques, Thank you for your entry to my guestbook, I feel honored! Your albums are excellent, as Gabriela referenced you many, many times, and I'm a lazy writer, especially when I see so much talent and so many beautiful albums. I won't even begin to pick favorites - just to congratulate you for the documentary of humans and architecture, the exotic colors of India, and the sheer pleasure and excitement of "visiting&qu ot; these far-away places in such expert companionship! Thank you for the gift of images, and the marvellous wonder you share through you lens!

Hi Guys, I was attracted to your site by the intro photo and title and was not dissapointed when I opened it up.. I was recently in Mandawa but your photos are wonderful and caputure the feel of the place, the poverty and yet the beauty of the people and the havelis. You obviously love people and your shots of children and particularly the yound ladies in numbers 25, 19,16 ar stunningly beautiful. Rajastan is a photographers paradise but I am sorry I did't get more shots of people and their everyday lives. Thanks for sharing your memories. I can't wait to return to India. I will look out for more of your beautiful pictures. Clarabelle

Dear Friends, I confess it took me three rounds of looking at the photos in this album. The conclusion is that I like all the photos presenting the gorgeous Haveli Houses, their exquisite decorations - some of them almost washed off by time - even when the colours are rather raw. Next favorites, among the Smiles of India, are 16.Poor girls/40.Milk Seller/70.Woman-painter smiling.No.54&57, though they have different titles are for me "India - as it is"; if you take time to look at all the details in those photos you can feel the pulse of their everyday life.No.69 made me admire aloud the colours on the women's wear! I found in their designs those present on the Haveli Houses. No.71,Monuments on the Road, made my eyes stop!!!! Though....I cannot say why! The previous two albums were less difficult to watch. Not this one. Maybe the reduced number of monuments and more images related to the lives of the Indians and their daily surroundings calls for more attention, because things and people are so different from what I know.Thank you for this tremendous effort! I hope that you will feel rewarded for the hard work knowing that people DO look and ENJOY your work!!! Your friend from Japan, Gabriela

WOOOOOW Jacques this third collection from India is FANTASTIC!!! I really enjoy it, the landscapes, your desert hotel views, the monuments, but MAINLY your great shots from daily life in streets and markets. You make a true Masterpiece in my opinion and your sequence of Smiles from India is REALLY WONDERFULL. I LOVE IT!!!! So in my favorites I put all the shots of this type like 1, 13,16,22, 31, 34, 40, 70 and also 10 (an alien type of smile I think :-) ) and the stealed shot 69! REALLY A GREAT JOB in my opinion..... I wait a FEATURE for it !!!! THANKS for sharing with us this magic world! CIAO !!!! Ruggero
