Calla Lily

I will have to do alot just to get up to your level with the camera, you have some beaut's. I have found that with my new love of taking pictures, I want to see all the places that I see in the albums, not enough time,,,I would say not enough me,,, but there's enough of me to go around... Maybe I should be called mrs. eclipse.. :) The previous owner's wife planted all the plants, we are just the garden keepers now, I've found going out and telling the plants, if they die I will kill them helps. It seems to be working.

Hi Sheryl. Thanks for your very kind mail. You made me blush! You ask me which camera to choose of mine.... difficult.... The Canon Powershot S30 was/is a great camera; but not on sale anymore. The Nikon is great, but not very user friendly; and slow. With the Powershot there was almost love of 1st sight and never no hard feelings, while I still quarrel sometimes with the Nikon. So both my camera's will not make you happy.... HINTS: Go for: user friendliness, bright swivel LCD screen, 4+ optical zoom and 4 mp or higher. Stabilization is OK. Since you say to be a starter really My Nikon 8700 is OUT! It would spoil all your fun in photography (having grrr feelings about its costs as well....). Have a look into the Canons. Have a look into the extensive tests on www.dpreview.com and directly go in the menubar of the test to conclusions and look at the cons and pro's and the final conclusion .. Have a look at the sample galleries of the different camera's. I expect you to end up with one of the Canons. But make your own picking. Go to a shop and get your HANDS on the camera: your hands may be to big or too small or whatever for a specific camera for instance. HAVE FUN. Greetings Anna

Sheryl, your flower albums are simply beautiful! And your knowledge of flowers is a great asset. I love the calla lilies, they are so simple and elegant! To answer your question about my Hot Pink Spring Fantasy album... I don't know! Some shots I took on the street near my home, and some at the Royal Botanical Gardens in Hamilton, Ontario, at the arboretum. Some are cherry trees, some are plum trees, and some are cross-over cherry & plum trees. I'm glad you enjoyed them as much as I enjoyed looking at your flowers! Best regards, Ina in Canada
