I am researching my ancestors in Canada. My great great grandfather was Charles Roy dit Portelance. He was married to Elisabeth Minville on Feb. 4, 1851 at St. Ignace du Coteau du lac, Quebec. I can trace the Portelance name back to 1683. Are we related?
