Finally an album of the area you live, it is truly breath taking countryside and the mountains are so majestic! I would love to view more of your region in the future please keep on adding! I am very excited as in a few months I will be in your captivating country of course doing the normal tourist rounds of Roma, Florence, Venice, Amalfi, maybe Lake Como and well who knows. Not sure yet on how much time I will have so I guess I have to be choosy on the places I can go. I hate that...there is so much to see, taste, experience in Italy and at times its a little overwhelming as I would love to see it all!!!!! It has been fun planning though and the anticipation is killing me. Many thanks for sharing your beautiful picturesque part of the country. Ciao for now and best wishes!

Today I visited your beautiful country views of Italy. Your skill with a camera and your eye for beauty is very impressive. My travels of the world remain just in the USA and I don't think I will ever be able to travel outside the US. But, thanks to you I could let my self feel as though I was walking along those paths through your pictures in Italy. I will vist soon again and hope you find time to visit my little world in the country through my albums. Laura

Meravigliosa Valle d'Aosta!!! Thanks for sharing Anna/ Italy

I love photography too! And I like saturated color and close-ups. I also enjoy landscapes. You are doing fine work here. Thank you for sharing it. I like the way you are taking all angles when you shoot a picture. That is the best way to get the best shot. I have downloaded many of your landscapes. Loved the blue lighthouse picture.

Ahh... I can't leave you misinformed. Our little friendly waving beach crabs are called Fiddler Crabs. I just found this out from my native Floridian co-worker. They kept popping out of little finger-size holes in the sand. About 50 feet further down the beach, we discovered about four fist-sized holes with little crab-like footprints all around them. We had no desire to see the ones that lived there venture out! Ha!

Thank you, Alberto, for your lengthy and informative guestbook entry. It was very helpful. My daughter has a Minolta X700 with six, or so, lense attachments that she is going to let me practice on (it's an old one she obtained used). I held it in my hands and had no idea what to do with it (I've only ever used "point and shoot" cameras)! Fortunately, she gave me some hands-on instruction. She's not nearly as seasoned as you are, but at least had some formal training in college. We went exploring at Fort Myers Beach last evening after work. The weather was not conducive to beautiful photography, but we had fun anyway. We found ourselves in the midst of a colony of Sand Sifters (little crabs), and were entertained for over half an hour with their claw waving and scurrying about! A friend of mine is selling his Nikon N50 at a reasonable price (no attachments, though), and I may go for it. It's a little more forgiving, in that it has some auto features I can rely on when the manual adjustments send me for a loop. Hey, as a side note, I like to visualize who I'm corresponding with - so I was fortunate to spot you in one of your South Africa pics. If you have the same inclination, you can find a fairly accurate picture of my family at the Eileen's 100th Birthday album (my husband's grandmother). It'll be titled "Joe, Pam and Kristiina with Grandma" or something close to that. Anyway... I truly appreciate the time you took to send so much information. In 10 days I'm heading to North Carolina and Georgia and hope to get some nice mountain scenes. I'll have to get in some more practice before I go. Whether I end up taking the Minolta or Nikon, I'll have my old one with me as backup! Ciao, Alberto, and thanks again! Pam

Alberto, you're shots are fabulous! They make me want to hurry to visit each of those places. I discovered you initially by taking a look at your South Africa pictures, and you soon became my first "favorite member." I enjoy photography and desire to make it a serious hobby, as well. Soon I'll take some courses so I can learn to do it well. What tips do you have for a beginner? Thanks, Alberto - you are truly talented.
