BEAUTIFUL PICTURE!!! Beautiful bird - the great-horned owl. It's the most beautiful picture I've seen of the great-horned owl - capturing beautiful expression and warmth of both expression and color. A very special picture. By the way, at a place where we formerly lived, an owl took up residence nearby, and often perched on top of the next door neighbor's board for the basketball hoop - only a few yards from our home's back door. Loving animals, I made the mistake of trying to communicate with the owl by mimicking his sounds - not knowing they are VERY territorial. NOT a wise idea!!! He must have thought I was wanting HIS territory - because he started swooping toward me whenever he saw me go out the back door! I've learned since that owls don't want to share their territory with any other owls!
