I too, left Southern CA to move to Havasu. AZ is a free State to live in, no smog checks, no helmet laws, speed limit is 75mph, honest citizens can carry a concealed weapon wherever they go, no time change, and still a Republican State that believes in the freedoms of it's people. BUT, Skipstr is right, there is no disability insurance if you get hurt on the job here, unemployment benefits are hard to get and only $200 a week. Your electric bill is going to be over $500 a month in the summer for A/C, your water bill is going to be well over $125 a month due to sewer construction, and the Police ARE very strict and borderline abusive. The city is much smaller than they claim, and the city relies heavily on fines and court costs to sustain their lavish existence. It is hotter than hell in the summer, you cannot even go outside for 4 months...you live in the A/C or be miserable. But, I would rather chance the Cops, the weather, and the overinflated fuel costs than live as a slave, a subject, and a komrade in Communist California. Arizona is a free State, but you have to be tough to live here, and don't count on the government for ANY free handouts...they don't exist.

When looking at all of these great photos of all of your friends, Remember one thing. You guys are not from Havasu. I lived in California my whole life and came to Havasu for Spring Break, thought it was the bomb, and it was for that week. Dont ever think about moving to Havasu, it's like a scene in the stepford wives. Most of the Police are out to get you, and I meen you. If you are under 60 years old, they will find or make up something up to hall your butt to JAIL. If your under 25, you better just give it up. NO ONE CARES, you have no Miranda Rights. You are guilty, matter what. Havasu is hell, not just hot as hell, plain old hell. Look at all of the nice photos, but watch your back in Lake Havasu City, AZ. Im not just making this up, I have now lived in this hell hole for over 5 years, and have seen things that you would not dream of. I built a home in Havasu, and I am now going to get the hell out. Be carefull, there is no Health Care, so if you get hurt, you die. Good Luck and may God be with you, more in Havasu.
