Album Description:

Hiked from NC 128 near the Blue Ridge Park Way on the Horse trail, then up the Mt Mitchell Trail to the Summit and out the Black Mountain Crest trail to Deep Gap. The next day we hiked back.

  • I have done some hiking in this area and I enjoyed your pictures. My son and I hiked the Mount Mitchell trail back in October. The weather on the upper part of the mountain was brutal.I had never experienced such powerful wind,the visibility was zero, and the temperature was in the low forties.Looks like you guys were blessed with good weather.
