  • Despite the many lighthouses that seem to have residence's either attached to or very close by, I'm surprised to learn there is only one manned one.

  • Lovely collection of lighthouses, have you visited the Newport, Rhode Island - Castle Hill Lighthouse, that is one of my favorites. cg

  • Hi, Pat. Thanks for your comments on my photos. As you could probably tell from my lighthouse albums, I, too, am a lighthouse lover. You have some great shots here....Many show lighthouses I've visited as well, but you have captured others that I have yet to see. I will very much enjoy returning to your albums to check out all of your photos!

  • Hi Pat, I looked you up from the 'comment' page. Seeing all the beautiful lighthouses I'm glad I did. Your photos are wonderful, looking forward to visiting your other albums now.~ Anyway, I agree with you comment, "if it ain't broke, don't fix it" I've been here since the beginning,changes are great if they're needed, but right now WS seems to work great for me.   • Hello Pat, and thankyou for your guestbook entery. I liked all your lighthouse photos, well taken. They are all a bit different than each other, and the ones we have here. I have a photo of one, it isn't easy for me to get them as I'm in a wheelchair, in my Kodak photos. Thankyou again for your guestbook entery.   • It had to take me to grow up to appreciate where I came from. My father was the lighthouse keeper of Boston Harbor Lighthouse, Joseph LaVigne, in the early 1950s. I lived on the island when it had two houses and a boat house. Had to leave when I was old enough to go to school in 1952. My bother was born on the island in 1950. My father had to deliver him as the tide was out and we couldn't get my mother to the hospital. Oh, I do believe ghosts. The place is haunted. I miss the coast and New England.
