Thanks. Your album reminds us about our visit to Jerusalem five years ago. We hope to come back soon when the situation is safer. We learn a lot from your explanation of the photo. Best wishes.

I loved the album Orly. I used to live in Jerusalem, and I love this beautiful city. You managed to exhibit your affection to the city through the pictures and words. I thought the prayer for the bathroom is very funny, I never noticed it before... Tirza in Los Angeles now.

Hi Orly be quiet! You aren't a forced supporter of my shots, but a good webfriend! So there isn't a time or a duty to visit my albums :-) ! However I'm HAPPY that you like my shots (but your comment it's to gentle my friend!) and MAINLY that you like 'hike' with my eyes. You know that my intention it's share the beauty of our world and I'm happy that there are some friend who think the same. I terminate now my visit in Jerusalem 'with your eyes' and again I have the sensation to stay in the city with you. I like your blue sky, your monuments, your explanations and mainly your shots of people. Thanks for all and CIAO !!! Ruggero

Orly, what a delightful album ! Almost next to being there myself. I truly enjoyed looking at the Ramparts, the Armenian and the Jewish quraters. Though Jerusalem has long been on my agenda of a visit, only my wife has been there. Thanks for the explanation notes. They make it relevant to understand the photos. Thank you for sharing these and the market scenes in the other album. Thanks for your words of appreciation of my latest album on Hampi. Best wishes Suresh

Thank you for a delightful tour Orly. I have wandered through two of your new collection. I plan to tour the others. Your comments as tour guide are most welcomed to me a foreigner to the area. One thing I agree with you on - that history and tradition are two different things. I have observed the American and the English version of the "American war of independence" quite a difference! Why the Assyrians did the same thing. In 2 Kings Ch. 19 is the bible's account of King Sennacherib, and then there is the archeological account he had written at the British Museum. I personally tend not to believe all that those ancient leaders tended to say!! They do not have the humility or honesty that the bible accounts have, thus causing them to be suspect. Thank you again for a wonderful tour. Ann

After I have read your last message (MANY thank's for your words) I charged all your new shots with slideshow. Then I look at them with quietness as usual. The life, the landscapes and the history (I love to read all your notes) of Jerusalem is groving under my eyes. I haven't any words to thank you for a so beautiful gift.... Orly! Quite impressive, and now I understand why you spent more days writing about the photos than actually taking them. What impressed me more is that you remembered to invite me in person to visit your albums. This means a lot to me. Thank you. Jerusalem is where I grew up. My father, who died in 1995 worked in Jerusalem all his life as a tourist guide and he knew the history of the whole Holy Land and all its religions. He used to speak 7 languages fluently. I, being his eldest son, used to accompany him with his tourist groups during summer off-school months. You are right, the same events that took place long time ago are mentioned in Jewish history books differently than in palestinian books. Even the names of the very same places are different, depending on who you talk to. I, however want to write about you and your albums rather than bore you with my childhood. I wanted to compliment you on your photography skills and on your comments, and the fact that you show that in one shop there are T-shirts calling for a palestinian state with Jerusalem as a capital, along with T-shirts praising IDF says it all. I have to admit to you, that this would have caught my eyes too, and I thought about what my reaction would be had I stumbled upon a shop like this. After a little thought, I decided that I would have done exactly the same thing you did: take a picture and move on. I have not been back home for 16 years now. There is a big plan cooking in my head now to go home for a visit in August, and who knows, I may also get to climb some roofs and try to take as good pictures as yours. Regartds. Majed
