Great pic! lot's of great memories. My dad was stationed in Bitburg and we lived off base in Bettigen. It was about twenty minutes from the base. But we did live on base until we found a house.. Building 33 4-A. I loved that place. You got any pictures of the elementry, junior high and High school. Anyone that was there from '72-81 I would love to hear from you.My name then was Christine Smith. It's Hickman now.

Congratulations buddy for your decision to see as much as possible of Europe! I lived in good ole Germany for 50 years, miss it sometimes, especially Bitburger Bier of course. Wow, Your pics bring back a lot of memories. I was stationed at Bitburg from 1986 to 1988. I worked in the Avionics building that is referred to as the "castle" in one of your pics. Besides housing the avionics "backshops" the basement had 2 huge diesel generators that could power the base and the entire city of Bitburg in an emergency.
